Foraging is less playing than simply feeding yourself in a course by Mick Collins of Outdoors@Hay just outside Hay-on-Wye. He teaches foraging as an element in “bushcraft,” the art of living in the wild, which requires creating shelter, finding food and potable water. “Bushcraft is outdoor living without a tent,” said Mr. Collins, who emphasizes field skills over survival tactics. “Survival is what it is when you get bushcraft wrong.”  Read More
